Navarasa pursues an idea- that emotions empower and that voluntarily manifesting them can crack the masks to reveal our very core.This experimental dance/theatre film is inspired by the concept of the Navarasas or the nine emotions from the ancient Sanskrit treatise on the performing arts called the Natyashastra. The film is an exploration of the power of dance and the rasas to bring forth a heightened awareness of a woman's unique individuality.
